Alison is an elementary school teacher. She is also a musician, singer and songwriter. Her song "We Are Treaty People" was performed at the March 2008 "Remembering the Children" event in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan which was part of a cross-Canada tour of Aboriginal and church leaders to promote the 'Truth and Reconciliation Commission' on residential schools. She lives in Saskatoon with her husband, two children and their chocolate lab, Jake. Alison's first book 'First Days: Night Movies' has been shortlisted for the Children's Literature Award for 2011 titles, by SK Book Awards. Her second book 'First Days: Wall of Tears' is just as amazing.
